Avicenna Crowe is smart and sassy. She is a strong well rounded character among other well developed characters in this book. Avicenna’s mother is missing and Avicenna is trying to track down the reason for her disappearance. Set in Melbourne, Australia, this is a unique mystery, with enough suspense to keep the reader enthralled. There is romance, but not saccharine sweet, more reality than fantasy. Astrologer’s Daughter is an interesting read, a compelling read. I was captivated by the characters of Avicenna and Simon and intrigued with the mystery surrounding them both. A well written novel I recommend you try.
